GATHER. diwali✨
GATHER. diwali 🪔
Come + join us for a beautiful evening celebrating Diwali - the festival of light, marking the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
We’ll gather around a shared feast, with poetry, visuals, music + warm company, making space for connection, reflection, joy + new beginnings.
Our menu is woven with dishes inspired by the culinary diversity of India and its diaspora, alongside seasonal produce and the kind of generous, colourful food we love to gather around.
We’re delighted to be joined by poet Yazzie Min (@standforhumanity) - Award-winning artist, facilitator and activist Yazzie Min is a spoken word performance poet who uses her art to push for meaningful change in the world. A fierce commitment to collective liberation is at the heart of everything she does, from commanding stages globally to building communities locally. Yazzie has her own TEDx talk inspired by her time spent in refugee camps, founded the Stand for Humanity movement shortly after and her poetry and message has featured across the BBC, MTV, Channel 4, Sky and many more..
Yazzie will share a selection of beautiful pieces centred around the meaning of Diwali, inviting us to reflect on light, darkness, hope, renewal and what it means to find our way towards one another.
Never celebrated Diwali before? Come anyway.
Come alone, bring your friends, come curious.
All are welcome in our house.
And because this is a celebration, do dress in your brightest clothes.
We’ll take care of the rest. ✨
